We met in 2011 while working at Ecolab in Martinsburg, WV.  We worked different shifts (1st and 3rd) and rarely saw each other.   We started hanging out outside of work in March of 2012.  We still worked different shifts and Amanda was in grad school, but we made it work.  A very tiresome time for us both.  Jeff would forego his nap before 3rd shift and Amanda would push homework back to hang out during the week.  

In January 2013, we both decided to make career changes and move from Martinsburg.  We decided if we wanted to stay at Ecolab that St. Paul, MN would have the best opportunties for us both.  Jeff moved to Minnesota in May 2013. While staying with family he searched for our first home.  Without ever visiting Minnesota, Amanda accepted her job and agreed to purchase a home that she had only saw on Facetime.  It was a very exciting time.  We closed on our home in August 2013.

Now we reside in Cottage Grove, MN with our two cats.  Things couldn't get any better.  (Well, the weather in the winter could be better!)

Jeff had his work cut out for him for the proposal.  Trying to plan things without Amanda knowing would be a task.  We commute to work together so it would be hard to set everything up.

On September 19th Jeff had said he had a work meeting at an offsite location and would be going to work late.  Amanda later found out that he didn't go to work at all that day.  

When she arrived home, he escorted her into the house.  After following a trail of rose pedals to the kitchen there was "Marry Me WV Mountaineer" written on the floor in rose pedals.  With John Denver's Country Roads song playing in the background, Jeff dropped to one knee and asked Amanda to marry him.  Of course she said yes.

After the proposal we had a dinner reservation at Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Minneapolis to celebrate (best steak ever).  

To top off the night, Jeff had planned a horse and carriage ride down by the river in downtown Minneapolis.  

It was a very romantic night that we will never forget! 

We both decided that we would love a beach wedding.  It would be a very intimate ceremony with our closest family and friends surrounding us.

We chose the Riu Montego Bay Resort for it's beautiful beach, nice resort, variety of amenities, and reasonable prices.

We would like to thank all of our dearest family and friends for simply being here for us. You all have done so much and have made such a remarkable positive difference in our lives.
