Just sitting in the kitchen having a bulldog with Carol Ann (Tommy's mom). Tommy and I had plans to go to a friends house when Hunter got back from a movie with Nana and Bompa. All I could hear was running back and forth upstairs. I yelled upstairs to see if everything was ok, he said yes. Meanwhile, as I was having a conversation with Carol Ann, she said: You should paint your nails! Yes, paint your nails! Then, I got a phone call from Tommy. I was confused why he was calling me from upstairs and didn't just walk down the stairs... He said he ran out to the gas station and then my Dad called saying they were done with the movie so he would meet them to get Hunter. Once he got Hunter they went down to Bay Point and his car battery wouldn't start. This has been an issue so I was a little upset, but told the boys I would be right down to get them.

When I got down to Bay Point (the park by the river), they called and said they were at the bench dedicated to Annie. There were candles (which were blown out by the wind), surrounding the bench. Tommy, who had been running around upstairs changing into a handsome suit, was holding a dozen roses. Hunter was sitting next to him on the bench. Tommy handed me a card that he had written in.

Hunter had the ring tucked in his pocket (which I didn't know). Hunter handed Tommy the ring, got down on one knee and asked if I would be his wife. Between tears and excitement I almost forgot to say the most important word: YES!

After I said yes, Tommy turned to Hunter. Tommy passed down a Duck's Unlimited pin to Hunter that Tommy had received from his father, who has passed away.

We went as fast as we could to both of our parents' houses to tell them the news that apparently everyone except me knew and was expecting!! ;)

We've had a lot of questions on when Tommy and I will be at the resort and when we would like our wedding party to arrive.

Tommy and I will be staying at the resort from Thursday, August 15 through Monday, August 19. Then we will be off for our honeymoon!! We will be returning to Minnesota on Sunday, August 25.

Ideally, we would like to do a girls only / guys only excursion or day out on Friday. So, that being said, we would like everyone to for sure be at the resort by about noon or early afternoon on Friday. To get in and settled, I would suggest coming Thursday. Just makes things less hectic for you guys traveling, of course.

If people want to stay before or after, I can keep everyone updated on when/how long the wedding party will be staying, approximately.
